Flag History:
The Columbus Flag was carried by (as the name would suggest) Christopher Columbus. He wrote in his logbook in 1492 that he would carry the Lions and Castles (Royal Flag) as well as a flag picked by his two captains. The Flag was white with a green F (Fernando) and Y (Ysabel) with a cross in the middle and crowns above each letter.
