Our Clients empower us to seek sustainable alternatives for products everyday. Saratoga Flag has developed five points where Consumers can participate in our Sustainability Initiative.
1. RETIRE OLD & WORN USA FLAGS:
We accept old USA flags for the Saratoga National Honor Guard to respectfully retire at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (located 16 miles South of our Shop). Flags can be left in the Red Flag Box in front of our Store anytime, or mail to: Saratoga Flag, 1940 Route 32N, Gansevoort, NY 12831. We do NOT recommend burning nylon or polyester flags on your own, as burning these materials releases toxic fumes.
2. STARS FOR OUR TROOPS:
We accept old USA flags (Sizes: 2x3ft, 3x5ft, & 4x6ft) for the "Stars for Our Troops" Organization. The stars are cut from these retired flags and recycled into a touching keepsake as a sign of gratitude & remembrance for our Troops & Veterans (domestic & overseas). Flags can be left in the Red Flag Box in front of our Store anytime, or mail to: Saratoga Flag, 1940 Route 32N, Gansevoort, NY 12831.
3. PURCHASE USA FLAGS made from Recycled Soda & Water Bottles!
Saratoga Flag carries the Eco-Glory® Premium Recycled American Flag, made from Recycled Plastic Soda Bottles! This special woven and dyed fabric is 100% Post Consumer Recycled material, derived from Consumer PET Bottles.... and is Manufactured in New York State! 4. RETURN Your Old VINYL BANNERS & FLAGS... to Up-cycle into a New Product!
Saratoga Flag manufactures custom tote bag products from "Up-cycled" old "Broadway Banners." This is an opportunity to recycle your old vinyl and nylon banners (which were headed to the Landfill). We "re-purpose" these old materials (in relatively good condition) into new and practical tote bags, keepsakes & works of art.
If you represent a Non-Profit Group, Museum, Sports Organization, College, School, Municipality, or Corporation that purchases Special Event Advertising Banners, please consider partnering with Saratoga Flag to reuse these advertising banners, which will create new branding opportunities for your organization.
